Stories about Flowers

Sandra Bröske has her own garden and observing and caring for plant life inspired her to draw and later create beautiful linocuts of her impressions of the garden.

I showcase here my favourite linocut, but you can find more on her website Stories about Flowers or follow her on Instagram.

Linocut "The Morning Song of Flowers"

In the early morning hours, there is a very special silence in the garden. The hoarfrost lays in the sunlight, the birds begin their morning song, the first insects fly over the meadow and the flowers open their flowers for the day. Moin!

The print is 297x 420mm (DIN A3) in size. Since the paper is hand-cut, there may be slight deviations.

The paper is acid-free and consists of 100% plant fibres, such as hemp paper (60g/m²) or silk base paper (30g/m²). Interesting is the structure of the paper, which sometimes shows coarse fibres. The basis of the lightfast linoleum printing ink is linseed oil with high pigmentation so that the colours shine intensely and the colour intensity lasts for a long time. Each print is hand-signed, numbered and limited to 50 pieces per motif.
